2025 was a defining year for the trades and field service industry. In a year shaped by collaboration, innovation, and economic change, one thing remained constant: the trades showed up and delivered

Across homes, hospitals, commercial buildings, and critical infrastructure, trade and field service businesses carried enormous responsibility—often under tight margins, workforce pressure, and rising customer expectations. Alongside our customers, we reached new heights as businesses used Simpro to simplify operations, gain control, and grow profitably in a rapidly changing world.

In practical terms, this meant thousands of decisions made every day by trade business owners and their teams—dispatching technicians, responding to emergencies, meeting compliance deadlines, managing assets, and keeping work moving despite labor shortages and rising costs. The scale of that responsibility is easy to overlook until you step back and look at the work the trades collectively support.

Customer Impact at Scale

Our customers do the work that keeps modern life functioning.

For trade businesses, this scale translates into constant demand for skilled labor, precise scheduling, regulatory compliance, and flawless execution across thousands of daily service interactions. Consider:

Each of these figures represents real impact: systems installed, assets serviced, faults repaired, inspections passed, and emergencies resolved. Behind every number is a technician on-site, a dispatcher coordinating work, and a business accountable for delivering outcomes safely, efficiently, and on time.

This is the reality our customers operate in every day—and why purpose-built technology, automation, and AI-driven workflows are no longer optional, but essential to sustaining growth and profitability in the trades.

Throughout the year, we shared more than 30 customer success stories, highlighting the resilience, leadership, and innovation behind HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire, and facilities management businesses powering the trades forward.

Beyond the platform, Simpro participated in nearly 80 industry events and supported 20 customer-led events and charities, reinforcing our commitment to the trades as the backbone of modern society.

Recognizing Excellence Across the Trades

To celebrate customer leadership and industry impact, we launched the Simpro Customer Excellence Awards.

With more than 160 customer advocates, 45 nominations, and 16 award winners, the program recognized businesses setting new standards in operational excellence, innovation, workforce empowerment, and community leadership. Winners were honored at Simprosium London and Simprosium Sydney, reflecting the global strength of the Simpro community.

Simprosium was a powerful reminder that the trades are the true heroes of our industry—showing up every day to lead, innovate, and make a meaningful impact in their communities,” said Tim Lamb, VP of Growth Marketing. “Seeing so many customers come together and be recognized on a global stage reflected the strength of our growing community and the vital role these businesses play in shaping the future of the trades.”

Simprosium 2025: Connecting the Future of Field Service

Simprosium London and Sydney marked our largest customer events to date, bringing together trade leaders, partners, and Simpro teams to share insights and shape the future of field service operations.

Across both events:

  • 600+ attendees
  • 40 executive one-on-one customer meetings
  • 180 partner summit registrations

Industry leaders, including IDC Research Vice President Aly Pinder Jr., joined the stage to explore market trends, workforce challenges, and the role of AI and technology in building more profitable, resilient trade businesses.

Strengthening the Ecosystem: The Simpro Partner Marketplace

In 2025, we also launched the Simpro Partner Marketplace, now featuring more than 180 partners. The marketplace enables customers to connect accounting, payments, BI, compliance, and industry-specific tools into one unified operating platform.

The result is fewer disconnected systems, stronger data flow, and greater operational control across every workflow—from quoting and scheduling through to invoicing and reporting.

Looking Ahead: A Shared Vision for the Trades

This year also marked the arrival of Fred Voccola as Simpro’s Chairman and CEO, with a clear focus on making the trades one of the most respected, technologically advanced, and profitable industries in the world.

As Fred has shared:

Our mission is simple: to give the trades the respect they’ve earned and the rewards they deserve. You deserve tools built for you, not borrowed from someone else’s industry. That’s what we’re building.”

To our customers and partners, thank you for building with us in 2025. Your work powers homes, businesses, and communities around the world. We are proud to support the trades today—and even more excited about what we will achieve together in the year ahead.
