The Challenge — Moving Beyond Standard Features

The out-of-the-box version of Simpro offered a solid base, which VSG built upon to support their complex FM environments. Clients were asking for live access to asset performance, quicker job status updates and immediate access to compliance records. Internally, the business was managing too many manual workflows and disconnected tools.

To meet these demands, VSG needed a more connected, automated and client-friendly system.

The Solution — Advanced Enhancements Through Ignite Consultancy

Ignite Consultancy worked closely with VSG to transform Simpro into a smarter platform tailored to facilities management.

They developed an interactive 52-week maintenance planner with click-through access to job cards and documents. Asset failure journeys could now be tracked from issue to resolution. Engineers were equipped with a digital forms tool that eliminated paperwork and improved data accuracy. IoT sensors were installed to monitor air quality, detect leaks and track asset performance in real time.

Ignite Consultancy also enabled contractor self-service through Simpro's contractor portal. Approved contractors could now log job updates, upload certifications and close jobs directly, reducing delays and improving service visibility.

On the client side, a custom-built BI dashboard gave stakeholders access to job metrics, asset analytics and compliance tracking from a single, secure portal.

With Simpro enhanced by Ignite Consultancy, VSG now delivers faster service, fewer errors and a more transparent client experience.

Job data, forms and documents are all digital. IoT alerts trigger maintenance jobs before faults escalate. Contractors update job statuses in real time. Clients access their own reports and dashboards, reducing back-and-forth requests and increasing confidence in service delivery.
