Founded in 2018, Prime Atlantic Group is a fast-growing specialist in electrical and data installations, working with major brands including Amazon, BMW, and Red Bull Racing. The company brings together two operations - Bedford Electrical and Factotum - under one roof, providing electrical services for complex commercial and industrial projects.
As the business scaled, so did the operational challenges.
“When I joined, each team was doing things their own way. We were using Excel, Word, and outdated software with no central visibility,” said Roger Koukkoullis, Commercial Director. “We had two companies running separately and no shared truth about what was going on.”
Koukkoullis was brought in to professionalise operations and expand the client base. His first step: find a solution that could unify processes and provide real-time, reliable data.
Replacing Spreadsheets with a Single Source of Truth
After a comprehensive review of six vendors, Prime Atlantic chose Simpro for its usability, track record, and proven implementation process.
“We needed to reduce overheads and make data-driven decisions, and that just wasn’t possible with manual tools,” said Koukkoullis. “We couldn’t see where our money was going, and we were spending over £11,000 a year just on reconciliation tasks.”

“Visibility is the biggest win. I don’t have to ask for a spreadsheet. I can see what’s going on at any time, across all projects,” said Koukkoullis. “Everyone works from the same version of the truth.”
Simpro also helped streamline operations for complex, high-profile projects, including a recent refit at Red Bull Racing’s campus.
“It’s the biggest project we’ve ever run, and Simpro is handling it with no issues,” said Koukkoullis. “We even hired a dedicated Simpro data specialist for that job.”

Previously, Prime Atlantic relied on a legacy version of Sage that offered limited flexibility. They’ve since switched to Xero and integrated it with Simpro, delivering a noticeable impact on finance processes.
“Reconciliations that used to cost us £11–12k annually have almost vanished. It’s a smoother, smarter process,” Koukkoullis said.
On the purchasing side, Simpro Mobile has helped field teams raise purchase orders on-site, removing the need for a dedicated procurement administrator.
“Simpro Mobile just works. We’ve had zero complaints from the field,” said Koukkoullis. “It saved us a full-time role in procurement and another in finance.”
