What We Built — And Why It Matters

Maintenance Planner: Defect Management Module

Asset defects used to get lost in general alerts or, worse, someone's memory. The new Defect Management Module gives technicians a structured way to log defects in the field, and tracks them from Open to Completed in a centralized record that's always audit-ready. The office gets full visibility without the follow-up calls.

Add Materials & Labour to a Job Card in Mobile

Billable work that isn't captured on-site often isn't captured at all. Technicians can now add materials and labour directly to a job card from Simpro Mobile, using office-provided prebuilds for consistency. By the time they leave the site, the job's complete and ready to invoice. No missing line items, no back-office detective work.

Scheduling to the Minute

Rounding labour to the nearest quarter-hour isn't just imprecise, it's expensive. Technicians can now track job labour to the exact minute, giving your job costing and reporting better data you can actually trust and make decisions from.

Simpro Digital Forms: Expanded Live Data Fields

Digital forms are only as useful as the data behind them. Live Data Fields now pull more information directly from Simpro Premium in real time, replacing the limitations of static CSV uploads with a solution that scales with your operation.

The quarterly release also included several other valuable updates:

  • Allow Individual Notifications per Scheduled Event — Send targeted alerts for each appointment on multi-event jobs, so nothing slips through on complex work.
  • Mobile Reminders — Banner alerts in the Simpro mobile app keep technicians across critical job, customer, and site information before they need it.
  • Security and Permissions Updates — Centralized permission management with less admin overhead across your Simpro environment.
  • Canadian Receipt-level Purchase Tax Override — Apply specific CA territory taxes at the receipt level, eliminating manual corrections at the point of transaction.
