Effective inventory management is critical for business success. To ensure field staff can easily manage inventory within Simpro Mobile, the app now contains a new inventory module. The first phase of the release enables users to create a purchase order number without the need to access the service module. This means purchase order numbers are assigned to inventory instead of a job. Using the new inventory module, field staff can easily view existing orders and make changes to the storage device or add notes directly to the order.
Easily create inventory purchase orders
Using the inventory module in Simpro Mobile, field staff can now directly create a inventory purchase instead of raising the purchase order against an existing job. This means the service module no longer needs to be accessed to order inventory. The new inventory module can be accessed directly from the menu within Simpro Mobile.
When creating purchase orders in the inventory module, field staff are able to select the vendor, storage device and create any required notes against the purchase order.
View and make changes to existing inventory orders
In the stock module, field staff can also view all outstanding inventory purchase orders. Those that have been received are clearly identified with the presence of a green packing box.
Storage locations for existing orders can also be amended from within the inventory module and additional notes added to the order
The next phase of development will see the ability to add items directly to a purchase order within the inventory module.
