Communicate task assignments with simPRO’s new pop ups

Product Update | 2 minute read

The latest update to simPRO introduces a new feature to enhance communication with employees. This update will start rolling into simPRO builds from Monday May 16th and includes pop ups for new tasks.

Communicate new task details with pop ups

We’ve introduced pop ups as an extra way to grab your office-based team’s attention. In the initial release, pop ups can be used to notify an employee that they have been assigned to a new task.

A small pop up will appear at the bottom of the screen and can either be dismissed or clicked on to navigate to the new task. The pop up will automatically clear from the screen after five seconds.

As a further prompt, a new icon displaying the number of unread pop ups has also been added to the top navigation bar. This will stay visible for seven days, or until the employee reads or dismisses them.

Pop ups can be turned off for individuals on the Employee Card by users with the appropriate security permissions.

We’re planning further development to pop ups and want your help!

Let us know how you and your team could use pop ups. To provide your feedback simply head to the Ideas Portal and use 'pop ups' in the short description. Then you can either vote for an existing suggestion, or add a new idea.

*Pop ups must be enabled in the employee’s browser settings for on-screen display.

What else is new in simPRO?

With every release, there are slight improvements in addition to the main features we’ve included above. You can read the outline of all the enhancements made in the dedicated release notes for 21.2.4 in our Help Guide. This will be available from Saturday May 15th.
