Seasoned HR executive joins Simpro to help drive global growth by aligning people strategy with aggressive business and customer goals

DENVER, Colorado – April 26, 2022 – Simpro, a leader in software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for field service, maintenance, and project contractors, announced today the appointment of Rod Lacey to Chief People Operations Officer. In this newly created role, Rod will join Simpro’s executive team. He will be tasked with leading all aspects of Simpro’s global human resources organization to support Simpro’s growth and align with its mission of helping its trade and field service customers’ businesses thrive.

“Rod is joining our team at a pivotal time during Simpro’s global growth and expansion,” said Sean Diljore, Simpro CEO. “Our employees, as well as our future employees, are the core of our continued success. Simpro’s people strategy focuses on nurturing our employees’ wellbeing and professional development, maintaining a value-based culture and attracting top talent. Rod is the right person to take that strategy to the next level.”

With nearly three decades of HR experience, Rod has led and transformed the human resource experience with highly successful companies in the technology and online ordering industries. Most recently, he served as the VP of People at Talkdesk, a Contact Center SaaS company. While there, he was instrumental in growing the employee headcount by 233% in his first 24 months, adding talent in over 15 countries.

“Simpro’s commitment to its people and their desire to create a true employee-centric company is what drew me to this position,” said Lacey. “The leaders at Simpro are dedicated to creating a strong, unified culture as a key to their continued success. I am looking forward to working with the team to scale the people strategy, processes, and capabilities for the next chapter of their business growth.”

The addition of this role, and a newly created Chief Customer Officer role, comes after a year of record-breaking growth in 2021. It culminated with a $350 million investment from K1 Investment Management, with participation from Level Equity. This investment led to the acquisitions of Clockshark, a U.S.-based time-sheeting and scheduling platform, and AroFlo, an Australia-based job management software provider. During this time, Simpro grew its worldwide workforce by 43% and is anticipating the same type of growth in 2022.

Rod will be based out of Simpro’s U.S. office.
