The simPRO team has been busy reading all of the suggestions in the Ideas Portal, and we know that better business reporting is on the wishlist for many simPRO community members.
As we count down to the end of 2019, two of your popular reporting requests are being added to simPRO: enhancements to the Contract Profitability Report and the option to record and report on Job Completion Dates.
The simPRO release sleigh will start circling the globe on December 1, so keep reading to find out more about the latest features.
An easier way to measure contract profitability
Profitability is a high priority for any business. And closely watching profitability ratios is critical for field service and project management businesses with a significant number of customer contracts.
Based on your feedback in the Ideas Portal, simPRO’s Contract Profitability Report has been enhanced to make it easier to look at the profitability of all, or multiple, contracts simultaneously.
The Contract Profitability Report now collates all jobs and invoices for a specific contract, where previously it assessed one contract at a time.
It is no longer mandatory to add a contract name in the “Summary Only” view. As a result, all contracts which match the filter criteria will be returned in the search. To help users make sense of the expanded data, new columns for Contract Name, Contract Number and Contract Value have been added to the report.
A new Salesperson column has also been added to the “Invoice / Jobs Breakdown” view, so your business can compare contract profitability according to the staff member responsible.
New Job Completion Date helps businesses find job management bottlenecks
As your business grows, field service metrics become an essential basis for guiding performance improvements. And based on feedback in the Ideas Portal, simPRO users will now be able to look at Key Performance Indicators surrounding job completion dates.
The new Job Completed Date field appears alongside the “Created” field and can be updated after a job moves to the Job Complete, Job Invoiced or Archived stage.
The field has been added to the table views for jobs at relevant stages. Users will be able to view and sort the response table views by the response due date and time on the job.
And crucially, it has been included in simPRO’s reporting tools.
The new Job Completion Report has been added to simPRO’s 60+ standard reports. The report shows the time taken to reach various milestones, allowing you to identify bottlenecks in your job management processes.
You will also be able to build a report in BI Reporting that includes data from the Job Completed Date field.
