Improved Retention settings and a new Routine Maintenance Report

Announcements Product Update | 4 minute read

At simPRO we pride ourselves in providing effective end-to-end job management software across multiple regions including Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom. In our latest update we are excited to introduce a new report for our users in the UK as well as an enhancement to the NZ Ideal Electrical wholesale integration. Plus, we have three new enhancements for everyone to take advantage of, regardless of where you run your business.

An enhancement to Retention settings

For a retention payment to work as it is intended, the due date should be based on the date a Job was actually completed. Since adding in the new Job Completion Date field to Jobs in simPRO, we have now enhanced how retention due dates are set, so they are based on this date.

Retentions are based on the date a job was completed

This ensures that the retention payments you have set up in simPRO reflect the correct period of time, and the due dates are accurate.

It is important to note that this will be applied to all unclaimed retentions in your simPRO build, including those that have already been created. For more information about this check out our release notes.

Restrict who can edit Pre-Builds

This security enhancement was highly requested by you on our simPRO Ideas Portal. Now you can make the call on who can or cannot edit the main Pre-Builds within simPRO, and who can edit Pre-Builds applied to any Quotes or Jobs.

Enhanced Customer Portal security

We have made login credentials even more secure for users of the simPRO Customer Portal. Following our latest update, your customers will be able to set up their own login credentials and limit who can log-in to their Customer Portal.

This means you don't have to worry about managing this information, and your customers can feel safe knowing that their data within the Customer Portal is even more secure than before.

Introducing the Routine Maintenance Performance Report

United Kingdom only

We have a new report exclusive to users within the UK. This report has been designed to assist you and your team with meeting NSI certification.

Use this report to identify if scheduled maintenance has been completed successfully within the three month window. You can also clearly see all assets over a 12 month period and quickly understand where action needs to be taken.

To take advantage of this new report you will require access to the Maintenance Planner add-on for simPRO.

Sync Ideal Electrical’s Catalogue with simPRO

New Zealand only

A few months ago we let you know that customers of Ideal Electrical in New Zealand were able to sync Supplier Invoices and Credit Notes with simPRO. Now, we’re introducing the second part of the integration which allows for Automatic Catalogue Syncing.

This integration allows for Ideal Electrical New Zealand customers to streamline their ordering and invoicing workflows by auto-importing catalogues and invoices directly into simPRO.

simPRO’s new look is here to stay

simPRO new look illustration

Earlier this year we introduced our new look for simPRO which included our new icon based menu navigation that resides vertically on the left-hand side of your screen. Over the past few months, we have given you the option to switch back to the previous look through your system settings.

However, to make way for even more exciting new features, we have now removed the option to move back to the previous look. If you still need a hand finding your way around our new look, we have plenty of help available.

What else is new in simPRO?

With every release, there are slight improvements in addition to the main features we’ve included above. You can read the outline of all the enhancements made in the dedicated release notes in our <a href="https://helpguide.simprogroup.com/Content/Release-Notes.htm target="_blank">Help Guide. This will be available from Saturday September 19th.
