simPRO Update: Lock Archived Jobs and Merging Purchase Orders

At simPRO, we’re always working towards enhancing your experience. Sometimes the devil is in the detail, and in this release we have a bunch of new features and improvements that will make yours and your team's lives easier.

In this update we welcome a number of new features voted on in our Ideas Portal. We also introduce the new integration with Lentune, which provides integrations with key NZ suppliers. You can expect these features in release 20.2.5 to start rolling out into your simPRO system from Sunday the 31st of May!

Straight from the Ideas Portal, we have four new workflow enhancing additions ready for you.

Lock Archive Jobs

Ever accidentally raised an invoice on an archived job? Now we are giving you the opportunity to restrict the ability to create items such as Invoices, Purchase Orders, and Schedules.

This means any job that has been archived is locked, which prohibits mistakes such as labour being marked against the job, and field staff being assigned to something that is already completed. Taking advantage of this is as simple as adjusting your system settings.

Merge Purchase Orders

So you can save on delivery fees and admin processing time, we have now added the ability to merge POs in simPRO!

As long as none of the goods on the PO have been received they can now be merged. Orders need to be from the same supplier and you have the option to select which PO number all items will consolidate onto. Easy!

See when an attachment was added

Sometimes it’s helpful to know when a photo was uploaded onto a job. Thanks to simPRO users on our Ideas Portal, we have now added a date column on the attachment details so you can get the full story when it comes to attachments.

Keep track with Count Badges

To give you even more visibility without having to click into separate tabs, we have added icons that count how many items exist in the tab. Now you can easily see how many Tasks, Attachments, Cost Centres, Invoices, Work Orders or Purchase Orders are part of your Jobs and Projects across your system!

Lentune Integration brings NZ wholesalers on board for Automatic Sync

Thanks to our integration with Lentune the below wholesalers and branches are now available for automatic sync.

This means following our latest simPRO Update, customers of the wholesalers below will be able to streamline their ordering and invoicing workflows by auto-importing catalogues and invoices. This will not only save you time but also improve data quality with reduced ability for user error.
