Include non-billable expenses in job and quote cost estimates

May 4, 2021

The latest update to Simpro delivers two new improvements relating to the Parts and labor tab. This update will start rolling into Simpro builds from Monday May 3rd and includes:

Adjust cost estimates for jobs and quotes with non-billable items

Would you like to change your estimated cost calculations by including non-billable expenses, such as parking, in Jobs and Quotes?

You can now choose to include or exclude costs on non-billable items. At the time of release, all items in a locked cost center will exclude costs while those in an unlocked cost center will include them. The feature provides several ways for users to update cost settings to both individual and bulk items from the Parts and labor tab.

An easier way to create and add one-off items

If you ever need to add items to your Quotes and Jobs that are not included as a catalogue item, such as travel costs, you will appreciate changes that have made the workflow simpler.

A new “Add One-Off Item” button added to the Parts and labor tab will allow you to add one-off items directly from inside Jobs, Quotes, Recurring Jobs, Recurring Invoices and Take Off Templates.

What else is new in Simpro?

With every release, there are slight improvements in addition to the main features we’ve included above. You can read the outline of all the enhancements made in the dedicated release notes for 21.2.3 in our Help Guide. This will be available from Saturday May 1st.
