Updates to simPRO Mobile give your field staff more power on the road

Right now it's more important than ever to ensure your team is working efficiently and maintaining their communications with field service staff and your customers.

At simPRO, we have been busy developing features to ensure your experience on simPRO Mobile gives you the power to do just that. Our latest update to the app will be available to download from Google Play and the Apple App Store from Wednesday, May 6th and is full of features that will help you and your team communicate even better with each other and your customers.

Text formatting. What you see is what you get!

Communication is key, and sometimes words alone can’t express everything. Formatting text (for eg. making text bold or underlined, using tables, and using bullet points) allows for messages to be portrayed as they were intended, and gives you the ability to highlight important information. Now when any text is formatted in simPRO it will also be visible when you view that same text in simPRO Mobile. Get excited!

Updates to formatting don’t end there. Now you’ll notice that in any text area that allows for formatting in simPRO on desktop, it’s also available on simPRO Mobile. This means you can bold or underline that vital text about a repair, create a list of bullet points for the office staff, create a table to organize your information, and change text color right from the palm of your hand.

Schedules refreshed

Improved Schedule views

When referring to a schedule we want you to be able to access all the information you require as fast as possible. The look and feel of schedules across the entirety of simPRO Mobile have been refreshed and show a consistent amount of information throughout all features within the app. This includes the addition of the Site Name and order number to all schedule views.

You will notice brand new shortcut icons in Quote and Sales, as well as the Timesheet features. Now you can quickly click these to access information such as the schedule, location and contact information.

Keep track with a smarter calendar

Test out our easier to use calendar to select the desired date when scheduling a job. To make life easier, we’ve added a ‘Today’ button so you can jump straight to where you need to be.

More room to sign

Now when you’re asking for a signature in the field, you have significantly more room on your handheld device to sign. This makes it much easier for your customers and speeds up the process of having your documents signed off.

Choose which contact you want to call

Now when you tap the phone icon, simPRO Mobile will give you the option to call key contacts that are connected to the job you’re working on. Such as a Customer, Site Contact, Job/Quote Contact, or Project manager and salesperson!

Include work completed notes on invoices

Often when a field technician leaves work completed notes such as, “washing machine pipe needs replacing in next 6 months,” it is important that this information is passed along to your client. Now when you’re compiling your invoice, you can include the work completed notes, so your customer has all the information that the field technician intended to pass on.
