simPRO Update: The Ideas Portal has a delivery for you

Your feedback is important. It helps us design simPRO around your business needs. In fact, we think it's so important that we created the Ideas Portal, an online forum where users can contribute and discuss ideas for functionality that could be added to simPRO.

It's also why we introduced the Ideas Portal development team - a group of developers dedicated exclusively to bringing the highest voted and most requested ideas into simPRO.

And these developers have been hard at work! That's why this upcoming simPRO release, dropping Sunday April 5th, is packed full of features requested by you. Check them out below!

Mandatory Due Dates on Jobs and Quotes

Have you ever created a Quote or Job and forgotten to fill in the due date? Now, simPRO gives you the option to make the Due Date a mandatory field to be filled. This avoids the job getting missed during scheduling and ensures you get alerts when it's due.

To take advantage of this improvement, make sure you adjust your system defaults settings to switch on this feature.

Select and Delete all attachments

Sometimes it's just necessary to delete all of your attachments on a Lead, Quote or Job. Maybe your field staff have uploaded a series of images to the wrong job? Or when you’re duplicating a job, you might not need all the images that were transferred over.

simPRO now gives you the power to quickly select all attachments and send them to the trash. This is available all through your system, such as in Leads, Quotes, Jobs, Customers, Employees and Catalogs to name a few.

Add site details into Purchase Orders

A purchase order needs to be informative. Several contributors to the Ideas Portal have requested to be able to add additional information on Purchase Orders, and we have listened.

simPRO now allows you to add the site information, including name and address, onto Purchase Orders to improve communication with your suppliers. This is possible to add onto Purchase Order PDF forms as well as Email Scripts.

Email supplier quotes to any contact

To give you more versatility, simPRO now allows you to choose any available supplier contacts when emailing a supplier quote. The available supplier contacts include any contact that is associated with the supplier.

Had a simPRO lightbulb moment?

If you have an idea to improve how you use simPRO, you can add it into the Ideas Portal for the development team to review and consider for future releases.

The portal is also a great place to view and vote on other contributions, as well as discuss any ideas or suggestions in the comment threads.

When it comes to development, we prioritize the ideas that are deemed most crucial by the simPRO community.

It is important to note there are several important factors we need to consider when determining which features to develop, including; client feedback, Ideas Portal popularity, industry expertise, in-product feedback, technical feasibility, and product strategy.

With that being said, we already have a number of customer ideas in the pipeline for 2020 and can't wait to show you what our team has been working on!

What else is new in simPRO?

With every release, there are slight improvements in addition to the main features we’ve included above. You can read the outline of all the enhancements made in the dedicated release notes for 20.2.1 in our Help Guide.
