Intuitive and time-saving new features for simPRO Mobile

Working on mobile is all about convenience. That’s why we continue to develop simPRO Mobile by adding features that make your everyday workflows more efficient.

simPRO Mobile release 5.1 will be available to download from Google Play on March 25th and the Apple App store shortly after. It is full of new features to ensure your mobile experience is the best it can be for your business.

It's as simple as copy and paste

Have you ever needed to copy information from a job and paste it into a text box? Well now you can. simPRO Mobile now provides you with the ability to copy text from a read-only or a text area and paste it into a text box of your choice.

Improve accuracy with our Native Spell Check

Using your mobile device over pen and paper means you can take down information faster. Sometimes this leads to overlooking finer details such as spelling, especially if you are on a tight schedule and need the invoice, message or email sent fast. To reduce the risk of accidentally sending a typo, simPRO Mobile now has its own native spell checker within the app. This also includes the auto capitalising of the first word in sentences.

Not only will this feature improve the accuracy of the text you note down, but it will ensure your communication with customers is more accurate and professional.

Notes from field staff will also be much clearer, as users adding notes on simPRO Mobile will find it easier to spot errors before recording information.

Statuses move in both directions - even when you’re offline

A recent update to Status Codes within simPRO now means that regardless of whether you push a job back a stage or not, it will still flow down the chain of status codes accordingly. This significantly reduces the need for manual intervention and gives you and your team more confidence in the accuracy of a job’s status.

This update is now supported in simPRO Mobile and will also function if you are offline.

Refreshing just got a lot more obvious

After triggering a refresh in the simPRO Mobile Service module, you’ll now see the icon spinning. This lets you know exactly when simPRO Mobile is syncing information from the cloud right to your handheld device.

See your part numbers in list view

When you’re looking at a list, you want all the information you need. To save time, all part numbers and catalogue items are now visible in list view. This means you no longer have to click into an item to see its part number.

View the entire asset type name at a glance

Now that you can manage your Assets within simPRO Mobile, we have been looking to further enhance this feature. When you are creating a new asset, you will be able to see the entire asset type name instead of it being shortened if it was too long.
