Latest simPRO Update: New Gmail integration for businesses using Google G Suite and Chrome

Integrations | 2 minute read

We are kicking off 2019 with a new release, rolling out from January 6th, that features an updated Gmail integration for our customers using Google G Suite and Google Chrome, and makes some general improvements to our solutions that should help our customers see enhanced functionality overall.

Let’s break down the features of this release to better understand what they could mean for you and your business:

simPRO Chrome extension for G Suite users

simPRO has just launched our new extension for Google Chrome that allows for faster customer generation, contact updating and attachment of emails to leads, quotes or jobs!

Once set up via download of extension and input of simPRO build details, G Suite users will see a simPRO icon in the top, right-hand corner of emails. Upon clicking the icon, and through the extension’s search by email address functionality, users can then locate customers according to the address messages were sent from, and attach the email to leads, quotes or jobs - all while staying within Gmail!

Email address not in your simPRO system? Not to worry, we’ve taken care of that too. From within the extension you can also create a new customer or lead, or even a new contact all from the email details!

Enhancing your simPRO functionality

Some of the improvements we’ve made this time around include:

  • Sometimes importing site notes in html format was causing tabs within jobs to display incorrectly. We resolved that issue by ensuring that site notes can no longer be imported with html formatting.
  • When creating a multi-select option in an audit, html tags were showing up in the final PDF. All fixed! Now your audits are nice and clean.
  • Previously, some alerts for failed assets were sticking around even after the asset had been rectified. Now your rectifications for assets will help you tick off those alerts.

That’s all from us for the first release of 2019, so make sure to head over to our release notes for the full breakdown of this update!

Also, make sure you keep your eye on our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blog for information on our releases throughout 2019. We’ve got some exciting stuff coming this year, and we don’t want you to miss a minute of it!
