Latest simPRO Update: Greater control over your commission payments

We’re always working on ways our solutions can boost your business profits. So, from March 17, we're rolling out a release that puts you in control of commissions. And, we're beefing up security on those wins with the addition of Two Factor Authentication (2FA). How's that for a "2-FA-1" deal of a release?

Advanced Commissions Tiers to encourage profitable jobs

Some job components are more profitable to your business than others. Have you ever wanted the commissions you pay to reflect that? Well, wish no more, because advanced commission tiers have come to simPRO!

You can still apply a flat commission rate to the total job value. Or, turn your focus to improving sales by rewarding your team with custom commission rates.

This can be achieved by applying and excluding commission rates on catalogue, pre-build and one-off items, labour, service fees, employees, memberships and job adjustments. You can also choose to give a different rate on individual pre-build or catalogue items.

Enhanced security with Two Factor Authentication

We've beefed up security for your simPRO account login with Two Factor Authentication (2FA). With 2FA turned on, you need a unique, single-use code in addition to your standard login details. The random code comes from the Google Authenticator app (free for iOS and Android devices). This 2FA method lives on your phone or tablet (no extra bits to carry!) and works even if you have no network connection!

Improvements and enhancements

With all of our releases, there are always slight improvements that our developers will make. These may not always be a feature of the release, however you can read the outline of what updates are made in the dedicated release notes in our helpguide. You can find this by clicking here.

Here are some of the improvements and enhancements made this time around:

  • An error message would pop up if you did not click Save in a contact card when creating or editing customer, supplier, or site. This shouldn’t bother you anymore as now the main Save / Save and Finish will do the job for you.

  • simPRO database backups are now combined with snapshots to eliminate confusion.
